Background

2023 is the second year of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) coming into effect, the bonus of the RCEP agreement including tariff concessions, rules of origin accumulation, and trade facilitation brings growth and benefits to the members and their enterprises,promotes new trade and investment opportunities, maintains regional supply chain stability, and effectively promotes economic and trade cooperation and regional economic integration among the members, and injects strong momentum into economic recovery.

The RCEP Customs Brokers Association International Forum 2022 was listed as one of the important supporting sub forums of the 5th CIIE. The representatives from World Trade Organization (WTO), World Customs Organization (WCO), International Federation of Customs Associations (IFCBA), government departments of RCEP members such as China, Japan, New Zealand, Cambodia, Thailand, and relevant officials from embassies and consulates in China attended the forum. The "Shanghai Declaration" aimed at deepening cooperation with NGOs and achieving digital connectivity was released at the forum, and the "RCEP Members Customs Brokers Association Interconnection Platform and Partner Program" was announced to be launched. CCTV reported on the forum.

With the purpose of further improving trade facilitation, promoting high-quality development of foreign trade, high-quality implementation of RCEP, and continuously injecting strong impetus into the indepth development of regional economic integration. During the 6th China International Import Expo, China Customs Brokers Association will, under the guidance of relevant government body, continue to play its unique advantages of the national industry association, jointly with the Agricultural Food Professional Committee of CIEE Enterprise Alliance, on the basis of successfully holding the "RCEP Customs Brokers Association International Forum 2022", we will further focus on trade facilitation and hold the "The 2nd International Forum on RCEP Trade Facilitation".
